It is a reflective candle model. It consists of two candles: one is going downward and the other is going upward. The latter closes more than the former opens, so the model comes at the end of the downward trend to indicate its reversibility.
This term is used in the Elliot Wave Theory and it describes the directional price movement. The driving waves are the first, the third and the fifth, each of which contains five driving waves.
It is the price movement horizontally not vertically, so the price has tops and bottoms in a horizontal nearby plane, and it happens when supply equals demand in the market.
